Grace lit up every room she walked into. A primary school teacher in Bristol, she could turn a rainy Monday into an adventure and knew the name of every child — and every child's pet — in her school.
She loved long walks at golden hour, terrible puns, homemade lemon cake and the sea in every season. Weekends meant open-water swimming with friends, followed by far too much tea.

Sea swims will never be the same without you, Gracie. We did the Boxing Day dip in your honour this year — all of us in your ridiculous yellow hats.

Our daughter still talks about 'Miss Williams' every single day. Thank you for making her first year at school so happy. We'll never forget your kindness.

Grace was my teaching partner for six years. She never once came to work without a joke ready, and the children adored her. Our classroom still has the paper stars she hung from the ceiling.
