Robert Hayes
“Every morning, coffee by the harbor and a chess problem.”
“The best boy. Thirteen years of muddy paws and unconditional love.”
We found Biscuit at the Austin animal shelter on April Fools' Day, which in hindsight explains a lot. He was the smallest of the litter and the loudest.
He walked every trail in Zilker Park with us, stole exactly one whole breakfast taco from a food truck (we paid), and slept at the foot of our son's bed from the day he came home from the hospital.
He grew grey around the muzzle but never stopped wagging. We miss the click of his nails on the kitchen floor every morning.
